Description

Apple berry crumble with tender apples, blackberries, and cherries topped with a golden oat crumble.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 3/4 cup frozen blackberries, thawed
  • 3/4 cup frozen cherries, thawed and pitted
  • 1/4 cup cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold
  • 2/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish
  2. Combine apples, blackberries, cherries, cane sugar, and cinnamon in the dish
  3. Mix oats, flour, and sugar in a bowl, then cut in butter until crumbly
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over fruit
  5. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until golden and bubbling

Notes

  1. Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples for best texture
  2. Drain thawed berries well to avoid excess liquid
  3. Reheat leftovers in the oven for best results
