170 g (6 oz) egg noodles

450 g (1 lb) ground beef

60 g (¼ cup) butter

30 g (¼ cup) all-purpose flour

240 ml (1 cup) beef broth

300 ml (1¼ cup) milk

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

60 g (¼ cup) sour cream
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook egg noodles until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef for 6–8 minutes, breaking it apart. Drain fat and set beef aside.

In the same skillet, melt butter. Whisk in flour for 2 minutes to form a roux.

Gradually whisk in beef broth. Cook 3–4 minutes until thickened.

Add milk and simmer for 5–7 minutes until creamy.

Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

Return beef and noodles to the skillet. Mix until coated and heated through.

Fold in sour cream gently. Serve warm.
Notes
Whisk vigorously if lumps appear in the sauce, or strain for smooth texture.
Substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream to lighten the dish.
Add Worcestershire sauce or paprika for extra flavor.
