Description
7 Layer Dip is a classic party appetizer made with layers of refried beans, salsa, guacamole, seasoned sour cream, cheese, and fresh toppings. This easy bean dip comes together in minutes and is perfect for serving with tortilla chips at gatherings.

- 16 ounces refried beans
- 1 cup salsa
- 1½ cups sour cream
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1½ cups cheddar cheese grated
- ½ cup black olives drained and sliced
- 2 large Roma tomatoes diced
- ⅓ cup green onions diced
Instructions
- In a medium bowl combine refried beans and salsa until well mixed then spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 dish
- Spread the guacamole evenly over the bean mixture
- Mix sour cream and taco seasoning together in a bowl and spread evenly over the guacamole layer
- Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese evenly over the sour cream
- Add diced tomatoes in an even layer over the cheese
- Top with sliced black olives and diced green onions
- Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving
- Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy
Notes
- Use thick salsa to prevent the dip from becoming watery
- Chill the dip before serving so the layers stay firm
- Freshly grated cheese provides better flavor and texture
