Description

This cozy Apple Bread is bursting with cinnamon spice and sweet apple chunks, topped with a crunchy cinnamon sugar swirl. Perfect for fall mornings, afternoon snacks, or gifting, it’s an easy, comforting quick bread that comes together with pantry staples and a handful of apples

Ingredients

Scale
    • 400 g white granulated sugar

    • 500 g all-purpose flour

    • 2 tbsp (28 g) baking powder

    • 1 tsp (6 g) salt

    • 2 large eggs

    • 480 ml milk

    • 160 ml vegetable oil

    • 1 cup (150 g) apples, peeled and diced

    • 1 tbsp (6 g) ground cinnamon

    Cinnamon Swirl Mix-In:

    • 130 g white granulated sugar

    • 1 tsp (2.6 g) ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line two loaf pans with parchment paper.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.

  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and oil until combined.

  • Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet just until moistened—do not overmix.

  • Fold in diced apples and ground cinnamon.

  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pans, filling about 2/3 full.

  • In a small bowl, mix cinnamon swirl sugar. Spoon over each loaf and swirl with a knife.

  • Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Let cool in pans before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balance of flavors.

For extra crunch, add coarse sugar to the topping.

Makes excellent French toast or freezes well for later use.

Muffin version: bake for 20–25 minutes instead.

Can substitute with almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
