Description

A playful no-bake dessert made with layers of crunchy animal crackers, creamy chocolate and vanilla pudding, fresh banana, and optional whipped topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 26 animal crackers, divided
  • 1 container chocolate pudding, 3.25 ounces
  • 1 container vanilla pudding, 3.25 ounces
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons whipped topping, optional
  • 1 teaspoon rainbow sprinkles, optional
  • 2 clear 9-ounce dessert cups

Instructions

  1. Place 10 animal crackers in a sealed zip-top bag and crush them into coarse crumbs.
  2. Divide half of the cracker crumbs between two clear dessert cups.
  3. Stir the chocolate pudding until smooth, then divide it evenly between the cups.
  4. Add the remaining crushed animal crackers over the chocolate pudding.
  5. Stir the vanilla pudding until smooth, then divide it evenly between the cups.
  6. Slice the banana into thin rounds and arrange half over each parfait.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon of whipped topping to each cup, if desired.
  8. Top each parfait with 3 whole animal crackers and optional rainbow sprinkles.
  9. Serve immediately, or refrigerate for no more than 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Keep the pudding cold for cleaner, more distinct layers.
  2. Leave small cookie pieces in the crumbs for better texture.
  3. Add the whole decorative crackers shortly before serving so they stay crisp.
  4. Replace the banana with dry strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or diced peaches if preferred.
  5. Refrigerate covered leftovers for up to 24 hours, but expect the crackers to soften.
