Description

Apple Donuts are crisp apple rings drizzled with melted chocolate and peanut butter, then topped with sprinkles for a fun, kid-friendly no-bake snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 green apples, washed and dried
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup milk chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter, melted, or your favorite nut or seed butter
  • Sprinkles, for topping

Instructions

  1. Cut the apples crosswise into 1/3-inch-thick slices.
  2. Use a small round cookie cutter, apple corer, melon baller, or careful knife work to remove the core from each apple slice.
  3. Line a baking sheet or cutting board with parchment paper and arrange the apple rings in a single layer.
  4. Place the white chocolate, milk chocolate, and peanut butter in separate microwave-safe bowls.
  5. Warm each topping for about 30 seconds, then stir until smooth and runny enough to drizzle.
  6. Drizzle the white chocolate, milk chocolate, and peanut butter over the apple rings.
  7. Add sprinkles immediately before the toppings set.
  8. Serve right away for the freshest crunch, or refrigerate briefly until ready to enjoy.

Notes

  1. Store leftover apple rings in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  2. Serve within one day for the best texture and color.
  3. Brush cut apple edges lightly with lemon juice if preparing slightly ahead.
  4. Use sunflower seed butter for a nut-free version.
