Description

Apple Nachos are a quick, crowd-pleasing fall treat that layers crisp apple slices with warm caramel drizzle, chocolate chips, and peanuts. This lighter twist on caramel apples is fun, shareable, and ready in just 15 minutes—perfect for parties, game nights, or an easy family dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and thinly sliced

  • 2 Fuji apples, cored and thinly sliced

  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice

  • 11 oz (310 g) caramels

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) evaporated milk

  • 1/2 cup (90 g) mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/2 cup (70 g) coarsely chopped peanuts

Instructions

  • Toss apple slices with lemon juice to prevent browning.

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine caramels and evaporated milk. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between, until smooth (about 2–3 minutes).

  • Arrange apple slices on a large platter in overlapping layers.

  • Drizzle warm caramel sauce over apples.

  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips and peanuts.

  • Serve immediately while the caramel is warm.

Notes

Mix apple varieties (tart Granny Smith + sweet Fuji) for balance.

Swap peanuts for granola, pretzels, or toffee bits for nut-free options.

Drizzle with white chocolate or add flaky sea salt for a gourmet touch.

Assemble just before serving to keep apples crisp.

Bottled caramel sauce works fine if you want to save time.
