Description

Banana Pudding Jars are a charming, no-mess dessert layered with creamy vanilla pudding, whipped cream, fresh bananas, and vanilla wafers. Served in individual jars, they’re perfect for parties, picnics, or a cozy Southern-style treat at home. Easy to prep and irresistible in flavor, they bring comforting nostalgia with every spoonful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) cold milk

  • 1 package (96 g) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, whipped

  • 4 bananas, sliced

  • 2 cups (200 g) vanilla wafers

  • Whipped topping, for garnish

  • Crushed wafers or banana slices, for topping

Instructions

  • Make Pudding: Whisk together cold milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes until thickened. Let sit for 5 minutes.

  • Whip Cream: Beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold into pudding to make it light and fluffy.

  • Layer: In 8 small jars or dessert cups, layer crumbled vanilla wafers, banana slices, and pudding. Repeat layers as needed.

  • Top and Chill: Garnish with whipped topping and crushed wafers or banana slices. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Use ripe but firm bananas for best results.

Substitute store-bought whipped topping if preferred.

For a sweeter twist, fold in a tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk.

Assemble up to 1 day ahead and top just before serving for best presentation.
