Description

This quick and easy Blender Salsa brings all the bold, zesty flavors of your favorite Mexican restaurant straight to your kitchen in just 5 minutes. Made with pantry staples and fresh ingredients, it’s the ultimate dip or topping for tacos, eggs, and more. No cooking, no chopping marathons—just blend and enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (14.5 oz / 411 g) diced tomatoes, undrained

  • ⅓ cup (about 40 g) red onion, coarsely chopped

  • ¼ cup (4 g) fresh cilantro

  • 1 lime, zested and juiced

  • 1 jalapeño or serrano pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, coarsely chopped

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin

  • Sea salt, to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add canned tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, lime zest and juice, jalapeño, garlic, cumin, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor.

  2. Blend or pulse to reach your desired texture. Pulse for chunkier salsa, or blend longer for a smoother consistency.

  3. Taste and adjust salt, pepper, or lime as needed.

  4. Serve immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 5 days to deepen flavor.

Notes

For more heat, keep the jalapeño seeds or use a serrano pepper.

Rinse red onion under cold water to mellow the bite.

Fire-roasted canned tomatoes add a smoky depth.

Chunky texture = pulse; smooth = longer blend.

Great for chips, tacos, eggs, bowls, or even avocado toast.
