Description

Old-fashioned peach cobbler made with brown sugar, fresh peaches, and a rich maple butter drizzle.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 stick salted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, divided
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 56 peaches, cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Melt butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Stir in milk and vanilla until combined.
  5. Toss peaches with remaining brown sugar and maple syrup.
  6. Layer half the peaches over melted butter.
  7. Pour batter over peaches without stirring.
  8. Add remaining peaches on top.
  9. Bake 50 to 55 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Boil maple butter ingredients for 2 minutes.
  11. Serve cobbler with maple butter and ice cream.

Notes

  1. Use ripe peaches for best flavor.
  2. Do not stir the batter after pouring.
  3. Serve warm for the best texture.
