Description
Caramel Apple Bites are a quick and easy fall snack that packs all the nostalgic flavor of a caramel apple into one chewy, salty-sweet, bite-sized treat. With only four ingredients and a 14-minute prep time, they’re the perfect autumn pick-me-up for kids, parties, or cozy afternoons.
Ingredients
-
2 green apples, chopped into small chunks
-
1 package (about 200 g) mini pretzel twists
-
1 package (approx. 250 g) Rolo candies
-
Toothpicks
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Arrange mini pretzel twists on the sheet and top each with a Rolo candy.
-
Bake for 3–4 minutes, just until Rolos are softened.
-
While baking, chop apples into bite-sized chunks. Optionally toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
-
Let the Rolos cool slightly. Spear each apple chunk with a toothpick and gently press it into a melted Rolo.
-
Serve warm or chilled slightly to firm before serving.
Notes
Use tart apples like Granny Smith for flavor contrast.
Don’t overbake—the Rolos should soften, not melt completely.
Sprinkle sea salt for an elevated twist.
Assemble close to serving time to avoid soggy pretzels.
Store assembled bites in the fridge for up to 24 hours or prep just the base and add apples later.
