Description

Caramel Apple Dessert Cups are a no-bake fall treat made with a buttery vanilla wafer crust, creamy caramel mousse, and warm cinnamon apples. These portable dessert cups are quick to prepare, easy to serve, and perfect for parties, potlucks, or cosy family nights.

Ingredients

Scale

Cinnamon Apples:

  • 4 cups apples, peeled and chopped

  • ½ cup light brown sugar

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Cups:

  • 2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs

  • ¼ cup melted butter

  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 cup milk

  • ⅓ cup salted caramel sauce

  • 1½ cups heavy cream

  • Extra caramel sauce, for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook Apples: In a saucepan, combine apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon over medium heat. Cook until soft and sauce is thick. Cool completely.

  • Make Crust: Combine vanilla wafer crumbs with melted butter. Press into the bottoms of 2-ounce cups to form a base.

  • Prepare Mousse: Whisk pudding mix and milk for 5 minutes until thickened. Add caramel sauce and beat until smooth. Whip in heavy cream until fluffy.

  • Assemble Cups: Pipe caramel mousse over crust. Top with cinnamon apples. Drizzle caramel over the top.

  • Chill: Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve, up to 3 days.

Notes

Use tart apples like Granny Smith for balance.

Cool apple mixture fully before assembling.

Swap vanilla wafers with graham or gingersnap crumbs.

Store-bought caramel sauce works fine.

Best served chilled, not recommended for freezing.
