Description

Cute and easy carrot treat bags filled with orange snacks and finished with green Easter grass and ribbon. Perfect for classroom treats, Easter parties, and spring favors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2/3 cup orange-colored snack, such as Cheez-Its
  • 1 cone-shaped cellophane treat bag or disposable piping bag
  • 10 strips green paper Easter grass
  • 1 twist tie or small rubber band
  • 1 piece green ribbon, cut into a 10- to 12-inch length

Instructions

  1. Fill the cone-shaped treat bag about three-quarters full with the orange snack.
  2. Gently shake the bag so the snack settles into the pointed bottom.
  3. Fold the green Easter grass strips in half and insert the curved end into the bag until it lightly touches the snacks.
  4. Gather the cellophane about 1/2 inch above the grass.
  5. Secure the gathered bag tightly with a twist tie or small rubber band.
  6. Tie the green ribbon around the closure to hide the twist tie and form a bow.
  7. Fluff the green paper grass and reshape the bag into a carrot shape before serving.

Notes

  1. Use Cheez-Its, Goldfish crackers, cheese puffs, cheddar popcorn, or dry orange candy.
  2. Do not fill the bag completely because you need room to gather and close the top.
  3. Adjust the snack quantity when using a different bag size.
  4. Store completed bags at room temperature in a cool, dry place for up to 5 days.
  5. For the freshest crunch, prepare the treat bags 1 to 3 days before serving.
