- 12 slices cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook diced onion in a skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes until softened.
- Add ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and pepper and cook until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Slice slider buns horizontally and place bottom half in baking dish.
- Layer 6 slices of cheese over buns.
- Spread cooked beef mixture evenly over cheese.
- Add remaining cheese slices on top of beef.
- Place top buns over filling.

- Cover with foil and bake 10 minutes, then uncover and bake 5 to 7 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Layer cheese on both sides of beef to help prevent soggy buns.
- Do not overcook beef during browning since it continues baking in the oven.
- Sliders can be assembled one day ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Freeze unbaked sliders, thaw overnight, and bake as directed.
