Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
- 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls
- 8 to 10 slices American or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook ground beef with diced onion until browned.
- Season beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce, then drain excess grease.
- Slice slider buns horizontally and place bottom halves in a baking dish.
- Spread cooked beef evenly over the buns.
- Layer cheese slices over the beef.
- Place top buns on and brush with melted butter.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds on top if using.
- Bake uncovered for 15 to 18 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are lightly golden.
- Rest briefly, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Drain excess grease to prevent soggy buns.
- Cheese layered directly over beef helps lock in moisture.
- Sliders can be assembled ahead and baked before serving.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven for best texture.
