Description

This baked Cheesy Ranch Chex Mix is buttery, crunchy, slightly spicy, and packed with savory ranch flavor. Corn Chex, pretzels, oyster crackers, Cheez-It crackers, and Goldfish make it a crowd-friendly party snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 packets dry ranch seasoning mix, 1 ounce each
  • 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 5 cups Corn Chex cereal
  • 3 cups mini pretzels
  • 3 cups oyster crackers
  • 3 cups Cheez-It crackers
  • 2 cups Goldfish crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 225°F. Line a 13-by-18-inch rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper, or prepare two 9-by-13-inch pans.
  2. Whisk the melted butter, ranch seasoning, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl until smooth.
  3. Combine the Corn Chex, mini pretzels, oyster crackers, Cheez-It crackers, and Goldfish crackers in an extra-large bowl.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the dry ingredients and toss gently until every piece receives an even coating.
  5. Spread the mixture in an even layer on the prepared sheet pan.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, stirring carefully every 20 minutes and moving the pieces near the edges toward the center.
  7. Remove the pan from the oven and let the snack mix cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  1. Store the completely cooled snack mix in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
  2. Keep the container away from heat and humidity to protect the crunchy texture.
  3. Omit the cayenne pepper for a mild version.
  4. Replace part of the Corn Chex with Rice Chex or Wheat Chex when desired.
  5. For stronger flavor, add 1 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, or finely grated Parmesan cheese.
