Ingredients
-
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
-
½ tsp baking soda
-
¼ tsp salt
-
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
-
½ cup brown sugar
-
¼ cup granulated sugar
-
1 large egg
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
½ cup mini chocolate chips
-
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate (for dipping, optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
-
Cream butter and sugar: In a separate bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing well.

Combine and add chocolate chips: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, then fold in mini chocolate chips.
-
Shape the dippers: Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thick. Cut into 1-inch by 4-inch strips or use a cookie cutter for uniform shapes.
-
Bake: Place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
-
Optional chocolate dip: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and dip one end of each cookie, then place on parchment paper to set.
