Description

Chocolate covered strawberries are a quick, make-ahead dessert made with fresh strawberries and melted chocolate. Perfect for parties, gifting, or a simple sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces fresh strawberries (about 24 strawberries)
  • 10 ounces chocolate chips (semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Wash the strawberries and pat them completely dry. Let them come to room temperature.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the leaves and dip into the chocolate, rotating to coat evenly.
  5. Shake off excess chocolate and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Let the chocolate set at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes or refrigerate briefly.

Notes

  1. Use completely dry strawberries so the chocolate adheres properly.
  2. High-quality chocolate melts more smoothly and tastes better.
  3. Decorate with chocolate drizzle once the coating sets.
