Description

A homemade peach cobbler made with juicy peaches and a buttery sugar cookie topping baked until golden and crisp.


Ingredients

  • 5 large fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Sparkling sugar or turbinado sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix sliced peaches with sugar and cornstarch.
  3. Spread peach mixture into a baking dish.
  4. Whisk melted butter and sugar together.
  5. Add flour and baking powder and stir into a thick batter.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of topping over peaches and spread gently.
  7. Sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
  8. Bake for 35 to 42 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
