Creamy Tomato Pasta made with butter, garlic, tomato sauce, and cream for a silky, comforting dinner ready in 25 minutes.
Ingredients

- 8 ounces uncooked pasta
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2–3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 (14 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Freshly grated parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions
- Boil a large salted pot of water and cook the pasta al dente according to package instructions
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sauté the garlic for about 1 minute
- Stir in tomato paste tomato sauce heavy cream and Italian seasoning until smooth
- Simmer gently for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens
- Season with salt and pepper and add a pinch of sugar if needed
- Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce adding a splash of hot pasta water if necessary
- Serve immediately topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese
Notes
- Do not substitute heavy cream with lower fat dairy as it may curdle
- Add a pinch of sugar if the sauce tastes too acidic
- Reserve some pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed
