Description

A comforting slow cooker meal made with tender chicken simmered in a rich, savory gravy that’s perfect for busy weeknights and pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet chicken gravy mix
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Place the chicken into the slow cooker.
  3. Whisk together gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and chicken broth until smooth.
  4. Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken.
  5. Cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours.
  6. Shred the chicken and stir it back into the gravy.
  7. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.

Notes

  1. For thicker gravy, add a cornstarch slurry during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  2. Chicken thighs may be used for more flavor and tenderness.
  3. Add sour cream at the end for a creamier texture.
