Description

Crockpot Hamburger Potato Casserole is a comforting, easy-to-make slow cooker meal that layers tender ground beef, thinly sliced potatoes, and melted cheddar cheese with a creamy mushroom sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

45 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes, thinly sliced

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley or chives for garnish

Instructions

1. Brown beef and onion until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

2. Slice potatoes evenly (1/8 inch thick).

3. Layer half the potatoes, beef mixture, and cheese in crockpot.

4. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.

5. Whisk soup, milk, and seasoning. Pour over layers.

6. Cook on low 6–8 hours until tender and bubbly.

7. Add remaining cheese before serving; garnish with herbs.

Notes

Use lean beef for less grease.

Uniform potato slices ensure even cooking.

Add splash of milk halfway if mixture looks dry.
