Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch peaches for 1 minute.
  2. Transfer peaches to ice water and remove the skins.
  3. Slice peaches, remove pits, and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour peach puree into a slow cooker and stir in lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice.
  5. Cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. Crack the lid slightly after 5 hours to help the mixture thicken faster.
  7. Spoon hot peach butter into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch space at the top.
  8. Seal jars with lids and process in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
  9. Cool jars overnight before storing.
