Description

These Rice Krispie Treat Pumpkins are a no-bake Halloween delight—adorably shaped, marshmallowy-sweet, and easy enough for kids to help make. With just a handful of ingredients and a bit of food coloring magic, you can whip up a festive fall snack that’s perfect for parties, school events, or cozy October afternoons at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) butter

  • 1 bag large marshmallows (about 40 pieces)

  • 150 g (6 cups) Rice Krispies cereal

  • Red & yellow liquid food coloring

  • 12 Mini Rolos

  • 12 Green M&M’s

  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) cooking oil or melted butter for greasing hands

Instructions

  • In a large pot over low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth.

  • Add yellow food coloring, then red, to create a vibrant pumpkin-orange hue.

  • Stir in Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated.

  • Grease hands with oil or melted butter and shape mixture into pumpkin-sized balls. Reapply grease as needed.

  • Press a Mini Rolo on top of each pumpkin for the stem and a green M&M beside it as a leaf.

  • Let pumpkins sit at room temperature until firm, then serve.

Notes

Use low heat to avoid hard treats.

Grease your hands well to make shaping easier.

Let kids help with decorating for a fun, family-friendly activity.

For easier decorating, make a small indent with a tool before inserting the Rolo and M&M.
