1 cup (240 ml) water
-
2 cups (200 g) uncooked pasta (penne or rigatoni)

¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
-
Assemble Casserole: In a large casserole dish, combine frozen meatballs, pasta sauce, water, and uncooked pasta. Stir gently to coat everything evenly.
-
Bake Covered: Cover tightly with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
-
Add Cheese: Remove foil, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
-
Finish Baking: Return uncovered to the oven for 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden.
-
Rest & Serve: Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
Notes
Use sturdy pasta like penne or rigatoni to avoid mushiness.
Add Italian seasoning or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
Layer extra mozzarella in the middle for ultra-cheesy results.
If pasta is still firm after baking, cover and bake an extra 5–10 minutes.
Reheats well—add a splash of sauce or water to prevent drying.
