Description

Fiery Chicken Ramen is a quick, soul-warming ramen bowl that combines tender, spicy chicken strips with a creamy garlic sauce for perfect heat-and-comfort balance. Slurpy noodles, rich sauce, and fresh toppings make this an all-in-one meal that’s bold yet family-friendly.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Spicy Chicken

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 450 g), sliced into strips

  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) soy sauce

  • 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil

  • 1 tsp (3 g) cornstarch

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce

  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1½ cups (360 ml) heavy cream (or half-and-half)

  • ½ cup (120 ml) chicken broth

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese

For the Ramen Bowl

  • 2 packs ramen noodles (discard seasoning packets)

  • 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame oil

  • ½ cup (50 g) sliced green onions

  • ½ cup (45 g) shredded carrots (optional)

  • 1 soft-boiled egg, halved

  • Sesame seeds & nori strips, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, smoked paprika, chili powder, cayenne, and black pepper. Toss chicken strips to coat. Rest 10 minutes.

  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sauté chicken strips 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  3. Make the Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Sauté garlic 30 seconds. Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes. Stir in Parmesan until smooth. Remove from heat.

  4. Cook Noodles: Boil ramen according to package. Drain and toss with sesame oil.

  5. Assemble Bowls: Divide noodles between bowls. Pour creamy garlic sauce over noodles. Top with spicy chicken, green onions, carrots, and soft-boiled egg halves. Garnish with sesame seeds and nori strips. Serve hot.

Notes

Adjust heat by reducing or increasing cayenne/red pepper flakes.

Swap carrots for bok choy, spinach, or bean sprouts.

Sauce can be prepared ahead and reheated gently.

To thin sauce, add a splash of broth or water.

Store components separately in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently before serving. Freezing not recommended for sauce texture.
