Description

Cheesy French Onion Meatballs combine juicy beef meatballs with rich caramelized onion gravy, topped with melted Gruyère for the ultimate comfort food dinner.


Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan

1 egg

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp olive oil

2 large onions, sliced

2 tbsp butter

1 tsp sugar

2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp flour

1 cup shredded Gruyère

Fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Combine beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, and seasonings. Form 1-inch meatballs.

2. Brown meatballs in olive oil; remove and set aside.

3. Caramelize onions in butter and sugar, 15–20 minutes.

4. Add flour, beef broth, and Worcestershire; simmer.

5. Return meatballs to pan and cook 10–15 minutes.

6. Top with Gruyère and broil 2–3 minutes until bubbly.

7. Garnish with parsley and serve.
