Description

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles is a quick Asian-inspired meal with tender chicken, chewy noodles, and a rich soy-honey garlic sauce that comes together fast for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes in a bowl to make the sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add chicken and cook, stirring often, until golden and cooked through.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken and stir until thick and glossy.
  6. Cook the noodles according to package directions and drain well.
  7. Add noodles to the skillet and toss until fully coated with the sauce.
  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  1. Use tofu or vegetables like bell peppers and broccoli for a vegetarian option.
  2. Add a spoon of peanut butter for a nutty flavor twist.
  3. Try udon, soba, or spaghetti noodles if preferred.
  4. Toss cooked noodles with a little oil to prevent sticking.
  5. Simmer longer or add a cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce further.
