Description

This Garlic Parmesan Bowtie Pasta with Creamy Beef is the ultimate comfort food dinner—creamy, cheesy, and hearty enough to satisfy the whole family. Juicy ground beef, tender bowtie pasta, and a garlicky Parmesan sauce come together in one skillet for a cozy weeknight meal that’s ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 can (10 oz) Rotel tomatoes with chilies, undrained

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Ingredient Substitutes:

  • Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free bowtie pasta.

  • Dairy-Free: Replace heavy cream with coconut cream and use dairy-free cheese.

  • Vegetarian: Swap ground beef for mushrooms or plant-based ground meat.

Instructions

  • Cook bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, 10–12 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook 5–7 minutes until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning; cook 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Add Rotel tomatoes with juices and simmer 3–4 minutes.

  • Stir in remaining butter and pour in heavy cream. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Add Parmesan and mozzarella. Stir until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Toss pasta into sauce until well coated. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Salt pasta water generously—it flavors the dish from the start.

Drain beef fat well to avoid greasy sauce.

Freshly grated Parmesan melts smoother than pre-shredded.

Add red pepper flakes for heat, or plain diced tomatoes for a milder version.

Use pasta water to loosen sauce if it thickens too much.
