Description

Easy heart-shaped cinnamon rolls made from refrigerated dough. A festive and simple Valentine’s Day breakfast or brunch treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube Grands-style refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing
  • Red or pink food coloring (optional)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional)
  • Valentine sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Separate the cinnamon rolls and carefully unroll each one into a strip.
  3. Cut each strip in half to create two pieces.
  4. Roll each piece loosely and shape into a heart, pinching the bottom to seal.
  5. Place hearts on the prepared baking sheet with space between.
  6. Bake for about 15 minutes until lightly golden and set.
  7. Let rolls cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Tint icing with food coloring if desired and mix in milk and powdered sugar if using.
  9. Spread icing over warm rolls and add sprinkles if desired.

Notes

  1. Use only cinnamon rolls that can be unrolled into strips.
  2. Do not follow the package bake time as these bake faster once cut.
  3. Allow rolls to cool slightly before icing to prevent melting.
