Description

These Heart-Shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies make a fast, soft, and charming treat perfect for Valentine’s Day.


Ingredients

2¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

¾ teaspoon salt

1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature

½ cup light brown sugar packed

½ cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large eggs at room temperature

1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment.

2. Whisk flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.

3. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

4. Mix in eggs and vanilla until smooth.

5. Add dry ingredients and stir until combined.

6. Fold in chocolate chips.

7. Scoop 2 tablespoons of dough onto the sheet, leaving space.

8. Bake 9–11 minutes until edges look lightly golden.

9. Press a heart cutter into each warm cookie.

10. Cool on the sheet for 5–7 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

Notes

Use room-temperature butter and eggs.

Measure flour correctly for the best texture.
