Description

A classic Heirloom Spiced Peach Jam recipe featuring ripe peaches, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves for a chunky homemade fruit spread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups peaches, peeled, pitted, chopped, and lightly mashed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 3 rounded tablespoons low-sugar pectin
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 3 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel, pit, chop, and lightly mash the peaches.
  2. Warm clean jars with hot water.
  3. Combine peaches, lemon juice, pectin, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves in a large pot.
  4. Bring to a hard boil over medium-high heat while stirring frequently.
  5. Add sugar all at once and continue stirring.
  6. Return to a rolling boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Ladle hot jam into prepared jars.
  8. Seal jars with lids and rings.
  9. Cool completely before storing.

Notes

  1. Yield approximately 3 pint jars.
