Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
½ cup milk
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
½ teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch dish.
2. Cook beef and onions until browned, then season.
3. Layer half the potatoes, then half the beef; repeat.
4. Mix soup and milk, pour over top.
5. Add cheese and melted butter.
6. Cover and bake 45 minutes; uncover and bake 15 more.
7. Let rest before serving.
Notes
Slice potatoes evenly for best texture.
Use cream of chicken or celery soup as substitutes.
Add sour cream for creamier texture.
