Description

Homemade Snickers Bars layered with chocolate, peanut nougat, crunchy peanuts, and smooth caramel.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup salted peanuts
  • 11 oz caramels
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper
  2. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips and spread in dish, then freeze
  3. Heat sugar, corn syrup, and water to 275°F
  4. Beat egg white and salt to stiff peaks
  5. Slowly mix sugar syrup into egg white
  6. Fold in peanut butter to form nougat
  7. Spread nougat over chocolate layer
  8. Add peanuts and press gently
  9. Melt caramels with cream and pour over peanuts
  10. Chill briefly
  11. Melt remaining chocolate and spread on top
  12. Chill until set, slice, and serve
