Description

Honey Mustard Grilled Chops combine a sweet-savory honey mustard glaze with juicy grilled chops. The perfect balance of flavors, this dish is easy to make and great for summer cookouts, family dinners, or anytime you want a hearty meal. With just a few simple ingredients, you’ll get crispy, caramelized chops full of flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 to 1.5 inches thick)

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Optional add-ins: Brown sugar, cayenne pepper, fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme, or parsley)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Optional: Add brown sugar, cayenne pepper, or fresh herbs for extra flavor.

  • Marinate the Chops: Coat the chops in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2–4 hours.

  • Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high (350°F). Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.

  • Grill the Chops: Sear the chops on the hot side of the grill for 3–4 minutes per side to create a golden-brown crust. Then, move the chops to the cooler side and cook until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.

  • Apply the Glaze: During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the honey mustard glaze onto the chops. Let it bubble for a caramelized finish.

  • Rest and Serve: Let the chops rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

The ideal marination time is 2–4 hours, but if you’re short on time, 30 minutes will still work.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chops are cooked to the safe internal temperature of 145°F.

You can freeze the marinated chops for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge before grilling.
