Description
Hot Honey Feta Chicken is a sweet, spicy, and savory baked chicken dish that transforms simple ingredients into a restaurant-worthy dinner. Juicy chicken breasts are marinated in a honey-garlic blend, topped with crumbled feta, and baked until golden and bubbly. It’s quick, flavorful, and versatile enough for weeknights or entertaining.
Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
225 g (1 cup) feta cheese, crumbled
-
120 ml (1/2 cup) honey
-
60 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
-
30 ml (2 tbsp) red wine vinegar
-
2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tsp dried oregano
-
1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
-
1 lemon, sliced, for serving
Instructions
-
In a bowl, whisk honey, olive oil, vinegar, garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
-
Place chicken in a dish or bag, pour marinade over, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours).
-
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Mix feta with a drizzle of olive oil, salt, and pepper.
-
Transfer chicken to a baking dish, discarding excess marinade. Top with feta mixture.
-
Bake 25–30 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
-
Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for extra golden feta.
-
Rest chicken for 5 minutes, garnish with parsley and lemon slices, and serve.
Notes
Skip marinating if short on time—pour marinade directly over chicken before baking.
Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing red pepper flakes.
Double the marinade (keeping some separate) for extra sauce.
Swap feta for goat cheese or Parmesan for variation.
Great with salads, grains, or roasted vegetables.
