Description

Hot Italian Sub Sliders are mini sandwiches filled with savory deli meats, melty cheese, and crispy, buttery buns. They’re perfect for parties, game days, or weeknight dinners. With a few simple ingredients, these sliders bring bold, comforting flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (or dinner rolls)

  • 1/2 lb Italian deli meats (salami, turkey, or spicy chicken)

  • 8 oz provolone or mozzarella cheese (sliced)

  • 1/4 cup roasted red peppers (optional)

  • 1/4 cup banana peppers (optional)

  • 1/4 cup thin-sliced onions (optional)

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • Condiments (mustard, mayo, or olive oil – optional)

Instructions

  • Keep the buns connected. Slice them in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish.

  • Layer with Italian deli meats and top with cheese slices.

  • Add any optional extras like roasted red peppers or banana peppers.

  • Place the top half of the buns on the stack and press down gently.

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt. Brush this mixture over the top of the buns.

  • Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes.

  • Uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the tops are golden and crispy.

  • Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can customize the meats and cheeses based on preference.

  • Add extra toppings like fresh tomatoes or lettuce after baking for added freshness.

  • If you prefer, use gluten-free buns to make this recipe suitable for gluten-sensitive guests.
