Description

Pecan Pie Balls are chewy, no-bake treats that capture all the flavors of classic pecan pie in one bite-sized dessert. With toasted pecans, buttery sweetness, and optional chocolate coating, they’re quick to make, easy to customize, and perfect for holidays, gifts, or sweet snacking — no oven required!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups chopped pecans (toasted)

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs

  • ½ cup brown sugar or ⅓ cup maple syrup

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt (optional)

  • 1 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate (optional, for coating)

  • Optional: pecan halves, sprinkles, shredded coconut, or crushed nuts for garnish

Instructions

  • Toast the Pecans (optional but recommended): In a dry skillet over medium heat, toast chopped pecans for 5–7 minutes, stirring often. Let cool.

  • Combine Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and toasted pecans.

  • Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in melted butter, vanilla, and brown sugar or maple syrup. Mix until well combined and sticky like dough.

  • Shape into Balls: Use a spoon or small cookie scoop to roll mixture into 1-inch balls. Place on parchment-lined tray.

  • Chill: Refrigerate for 30 minutes or freeze for 15 minutes until firm.

  • Optional Chocolate Coating: Melt chocolate in microwave-safe bowl in 20-second bursts, stirring between. Dip chilled balls into chocolate, let excess drip off, and place back on the tray. Add toppings immediately if desired.

  • Set and Store: Chill again until chocolate sets. Store in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

  • Make it vegan by using plant-based butter and dairy-free chocolate.

  • Use gluten-free graham crackers for a GF version.

  • Swap pecans with other nuts or seeds to fit dietary needs.

  • Great for gifting or freezing ahead for parties.
