Description

Keto Philly Cheesesteak Rolls are a low-carb twist on the classic sandwich, combining juicy beef, peppers, onions, and melty cheese wrapped in golden, crispy cheese shells instead of bread. Quick, fun to make, and ready in just 30 minutes, these rolls deliver all the cheesy, savory comfort of a Philly cheesesteak without the carbs. Perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or even game-day appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef

  • 1/2 medium onion, sliced

  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

  • 2 cups (200 g) shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese

  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef. Add onion and bell pepper, cooking 5–7 minutes until softened. Drain excess grease.

  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Add cream cheese and stir until melted and combined. Remove from heat.

  • On the baking sheet, form 8 small circles using 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack each, spaced 2 inches apart.

  • Bake 8–10 minutes until edges are golden and centers are lace-like. Cool for 1 minute.

  • Spoon 2 tbsp beef filling onto each cheese circle. Roll tightly while still warm and pliable. Let set 2–3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Roll cheese circles at the 1-minute mark—too early and they’ll fall apart, too late and they’ll snap.

For crunch, mix Monterey Jack with cheddar in the cheese shells.

Season the beef filling well—ground beef shines with extra flavor.

These make a great snack, appetizer, or main dish.

Use an air fryer to re-crisp leftovers.
