Description

Creamy stovetop mac and cheese made with cheddar, cream cheese, and rich cream for a fast comfort food dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 9 ounces dry macaroni pasta
  • 7 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Paprika to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook macaroni until al dente, then drain.
  2. Melt butter in the same pot over medium heat.
  3. Add cream cheese and stir until mostly smooth.
  4. Pour in cream and stir until warm and creamy.
  5. Gradually add shredded cheese and stir until fully melted.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  7. Add macaroni and stir until evenly coated.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  1. Use sharp cheddar for stronger flavor.
  2. Add extra cream for more creaminess.
  3. Store leftovers up to two days and reheat gently.
