Description

Festive New Year’s seafood salad served in a glass with shrimp, cured salmon, potatoes, cheese, and red caviar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 7 oz lightly salted salmon, diced
  • 5 oz cooked shrimp, peeled and diced
  • 34 oz processed cheese, grated
  • 23 medium potatoes, boiled and grated
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3.5 oz red caviar

Instructions

  1. Dice the cured fish and cooked shrimp into small cubes.
  2. Grate the boiled potatoes and processed cheese.
  3. Place grated potatoes in the bottom of each glass and spread lightly with mayonnaise.
  4. Add diced cured fish and a thin layer of mayonnaise.
  5. Add grated processed cheese.
  6. Add diced shrimp and lightly coat with mayonnaise.
  7. Sprinkle chopped green onions over the shrimp.
  8. Top generously with red caviar and refrigerate before serving.

Notes

  1. Slightly freeze the processed cheese before grating for cleaner shreds.
  2. Mix sour cream with mayonnaise for a lighter taste if preferred.
  3. Assemble shortly before serving to keep caviar fresh.
  4. Best enjoyed the same day it is made.
