Description

Old Fashioned Rhubarb Cobbler is a sweet and tart dessert with a crumbly topping, perfect served warm with ice cream.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 cups diced rhubarb
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 4 tablespoons melted margarine
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking dish
  2. Mix sugar and flour then coat rhubarb
  3. Spread rhubarb in dish
  4. Combine flour sugar and egg to form crumbs
  5. Sprinkle crumble over rhubarb
  6. Drizzle melted margarine and add nutmeg
  7. Bake 30 to 45 minutes until golden and bubbly
  8. Serve warm

Notes

  1. Adjust sugar for sweetness preference
  2. Use butter instead of margarine if desired
  3. Swap nutmeg with cinnamon if preferred
