- 1 3/4 cups whole milk
- 1.75 oz semi-sweet or dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2 teaspoons caster sugar
- 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- Orange zest for garnish
- Cocoa powder for garnish
- Orange slices for garnish
- Whipped cream optional
Instructions
- Peel the orange and reserve the peel, then squeeze the juice and set aside two tablespoons.
- Heat the milk with the orange peel until gently simmering, then rest covered for ten minutes.
- Remove the peel, add chocolate, cinnamon, sugar, and cocoa powder, and whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the reserved orange juice over low heat for one minute.
- Pour into mugs, garnish, and serve hot.

- Avoid adding orange juice too early to prevent curdling.
- Use high-quality dark chocolate for best flavor.
