Description

A refreshing homemade Peach Iced Tea made with black tea, ripe peaches, water, and sugar. Perfect for summer gatherings and everyday enjoyment.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 black tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3 large ripe peaches, chopped
  • 2 cups water, divided
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • Peach slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups water to a light simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove tea bags and chill the tea.
  4. Blend peaches, 1 cup water, and sugar for 2-3 seconds.
  5. Transfer mixture to a saucepan and add remaining water.
  6. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and steep for 30 minutes.
  8. Strain through a fine mesh sieve.
  9. Chill the peach syrup.
  10. Combine chilled tea and peach syrup in a pitcher.
  11. Stir well and serve over ice.

Notes

  1. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  2. Flavor improves after resting overnight.
  3. Add simple syrup if additional sweetness is desired.
  4. Use ripe peaches for the best flavor.
