Description

This Philly Cheesesteak Pasta combines cheese tortellini, beef, peppers, and onions in a creamy skillet sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb ground beef or shaved steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Brown beef in olive oil and remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté bell pepper, onion, and garlic until soft.
  4. Stir in soup, broth, cream, Worcestershire, and seasonings; simmer.
  5. Return beef to skillet and mix well.
  6. Add tortellini and toss to coat.
  7. Top with cheese, cover, and cook until melted.

Notes

  1. Use ground turkey or mushrooms as substitutions.
  2. Add red pepper flakes for heat.
  3. Serve with salad or garlic bread.
