- 3 cups diced pineapple
- 2 cups diced bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/2 jalapeño seeds removed and diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cut pineapple lengthwise and create a pineapple bowl by carving around the inside.
- Make grid cuts into the pineapple flesh and scoop it out with a spoon.
- Dice enough pineapple to measure three cups.
- Combine diced pineapple, bell pepper, red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, and salt in a bowl.
- Mix well until evenly combined.
- Transfer salsa to the pineapple bowl and serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
- Double or triple the recipe if your pineapple bowl is large.
- This recipe makes about 3 cups of salsa.
- Reserve extra pineapple pieces for snacks or other recipes.
