Description

Crunchy ranch seasoned Chex mix loaded with pretzels, peanuts, cheese crackers, and cereal. A simple homemade snack perfect for parties and lunchboxes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 cups rice cereal such as Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups cashews or cocktail peanuts
  • 5 cups pretzels
  • 3 cups cheese crackers
  • 2 cups oyster crackers
  • 4½ tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 1 ounce ranch seasoning dry powder
  • 2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine rice cereal peanuts pretzels cheese crackers and oyster crackers
  3. Gently toss ingredients together
  4. Melt butter in microwave and pour over mixture then toss to coat
  5. In a small bowl combine ranch seasoning mustard powder parmesan and parsley
  6. Sprinkle seasoning over mixture and toss again
  7. Spread mixture evenly onto prepared baking sheet
  8. Bake 25 to 30 minutes stirring halfway through baking
  9. Allow mix to cool completely before storing in airtight container

  1. Stir the mix halfway through baking for even toasting
  2. Let the mix cool completely before storing to keep it crunchy
