Description

Individual Seven-Layer Dips are layered Mexican appetizer cups perfect for parties, BBQs, and potlucks. Each serving includes beans, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, cheese, and fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 1 cup guacamole
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 cup chunky salsa or pico de gallo
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 bunch green onions, sliced
  • 1 (2.25 ounce) can sliced olives, drained
  • 8 plastic tumblers or clear cups
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Mix taco seasoning with refried beans in a small bowl until well combined
  2. Place about 2 tablespoons of the seasoned beans into the bottom of each cup
  3. Add about 2 tablespoons of sour cream as the second layer
  4. Add about 2 tablespoons of guacamole as the third layer
  5. Add about 2 tablespoons of salsa or pico de gallo as the fourth layer
  6. Sprinkle about 2 tablespoons of shredded cheese for the fifth layer
  7. Add diced tomatoes for the sixth layer
  8. Top with sliced olives and green onions as the seventh layer
  9. Garnish with one tortilla chip and refrigerate until serving

Notes

  1. Drain salsa or pico de gallo before layering to prevent excess liquid
  2. Pipe sour cream and guacamole from a zip-top bag for cleaner layers
  3. Add fresh toppings just before serving if preparing ahead
  4. Layer thickness can be adjusted based on preference
