Description
Tender, saucy Slow Cooker Buffalo Wings made without frying. These wings are juicy, bold, and perfect for game day, parties, or an easy crowd-pleasing dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 lb chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
- 1 1/2 cups buffalo hot sauce
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Place the wings into the slow cooker in an even layer.
- In a bowl, whisk together buffalo sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the wings and gently toss to coat.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 3 1/2 to 4 hours or on HIGH for about 2 hours, until wings are tender and fully cooked.
- For crispier wings, transfer them to a baking sheet and broil for 3 to 5 minutes per side.
- Serve hot with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing.
Notes
- Do not add extra liquid to the slow cooker, as the wings release moisture while cooking.
- For extra heat, add additional hot sauce before serving.
- Wings can be finished in an air fryer instead of the oven for a crispier texture.
