Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon relish
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 lb ground round beef
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 4 (6-inch) flour tortillas
- 2 slices American cheese, cut in half lengthwise
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup diced onion
Instructions
- Combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, and hot sauce in a small bowl and set aside.
- Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Divide ground beef into four loose portions and place on the hot griddle.
- Season with salt and pepper and cook for 2 minutes.
- Place a tortilla on top of each beef portion and press firmly to flatten the beef to the size of the tortilla.
- Cook until the tortilla becomes golden brown, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Flip the tortilla and beef together so the tortilla is on the griddle.
- Place half a slice of American cheese on each portion and cook until melted.
- Top with shredded lettuce and diced onion.
- Drizzle with prepared sauce, fold the tortilla like a taco, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use medium-high heat so the tortilla crisps properly.
- Do not press the beef before placing the tortilla.
- Serve immediately for the best texture.
